Live Webinar
This webinar is entitled: The Impact of 3D Tissue Models on Drug Development and Predictive Safety, and it will be simulcast from the Predictive Functional Human Tissue Models conference in Boston on Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM EST.  Dr. Ernie Bush, Vice President, Collaborative Projects for DSEC will moderate the discussion.

PANELISTS:

  • Dr. Immanuel Freedman, Manager, Pharmacometrics, Biopharm Clinical Pharmacology & Biometrics, GlaxoSmithKline
  • Dr. Jack Reynolds, CEO, AnaBios Corporation
  • Dr. Adrian Roth, Head Mechanistics Safety Europe, Non-Clinical Safety, Hoffman-La Roche AG
  • Dr. Mei Zhang, Senior Scientist, Lead Discovery Technologies, EMD Serono

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

  • 3D tissue models come in a wide variety of cell types and systems, which have you worked with or evaluated?
  • What applications are you currently interested in evaluating with these new models for tissue systems? ADME parameters, liver toxicity in general or idiosyncratic toxicity, cardiovascular function or direct toxicity effects?
  • What are the specific advantages you hope to realize with these new model systems and have you in fact seen these advantages develop? (i.e. better clinical predictivity, or better in vivo/in vitro correlations)?
  • In general, how would you describe the general availability of these models and more specifically on their cost effectiveness?

    Two ways to attend:

    1. Attend the live session by registering for the Predictive Functional Human Tissue Models conference November 17-18 at the Omni Parker House in Boston, MA. Visit  healthtech.com/3Dtissuemodels. DSEC members save $200 on conference registration.

    2. Submit your information below to be part of our "virtual" audience and join the webinar.
