Paul Trennery

Dr. Paul Trennery is currently Senior Vice President of Worldwide Safety Assessment at GlaxoSmithKline. In this capacity he has responsibility for the non-clinical safety evaluation for all GSK R&D drugs in development.

Prior to this he served as Worldwide Director of Medicines Safety Evaluation for GlaxoWellcome;  Director of Drug Safety Assessment at the Glaxo Research Institute in the USA;  Section Head and Research Leader at Glaxo Group Research in England.

Prior to his employment at GlaxoSmithKline, he worked at Roche in the UK as a senior toxicologist.

Dr. Trennery holds a BSc in Applied Biology from the University of Wales, a PhD in Biochemical Toxicology from Birmingham University (UK), and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists, the Institute of Biology and the British Toxicology Society.
