Technology Evaluation Consortium
Program Description

The Technology Evaluation Consortium (TEC) brings together technology partners and pharmaceutical companies to evaluate predictive drug safety technologies. Over a period of three to six months participating pharmaceutical companies submit compounds which will be tested using the vendor's new technology. Both the vendor and participating pharmaceutical companies attend monthly meetings throughout the process. The consortium concludes with either a face-to-face or virtual summit of the vendor representatives and pharmaceutical companies to review the results and reach consensus on the value of the technology, suggested improvements and other issues. After the summit, a full report is issued with all data.

Benefits

The consortium provides great benefit to both vendors and pharmaceutical companies alike. Technology vendors receive valuable feedback on product design and also have the opportunity to leverage real-world compounds. Pharmaceutical companies may assess new technology platforms faster and in a more cost-efficient manner.
